Description: For licensure. Capstone course in Theatre Teacher Education Sequence: philosophy of theatre education, teaching strategies, co-curricular programs, textbook analysis, professional organization, related field experiences which include 25-125 (varying hours depending on the demands of the play selected to be directed) hours of clinical experiencedirecting in a local high school directing a play. A significant focus on topics in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the theatre classroom and production process guide this course. May not be taken for credit if already taken THE 385.
Credit Hours: 4
Prerequisites: THE 401; National Criminal Background check required; For Illinois State University lab schools, all teacher candidates must pass the Federal Fingerprint Background Check ($30-$40) as well
Graduate Level Course: This course is approved for graduate credit
