Description: This course is the first part of a two-semester senior project sequence. It emphasizes the early stages of the engineering design process, including problem definition, research, conceptualization, and preliminary design. Students work in teams on industry-sponsored or faculty-led projects, focusing on project planning, feasibility studies, and communication.
