Department: Kinesiology and Recreation
Description: Supervised work experience in local, state, national, and international businesses, agencies, institutions, and organizations. The experience is planned, administered, and supervised at the departmental level and coordinated through Professional Practice. Written objectives and modes of evaluation shall be approved by the faculty supervisor and department chairperson/school director prior to the beginning of the semester. Open only to graduate students who have completed considerable work in a degree program, who are in good academic standing, and who have demonstrated ability to profit from professional practice experience. A maximum of 9 hours of total credits from the course group 393/397/400/493/498 may count toward a master's degree. Within that 9 hours, 498 is further limited to 20% of the total hours required for the degree.
