Description: Introduction to the discipline, including study of research and writing techniques, historical methods, and the nature and varieties of history. It is recommended that History and History-Social Sciences Education majors take HIS 200 prior to taking any 300-level History courses. Must be taken by students who begin at Illinois State University no later than the end of their sophomore year, by transfer students by the end of the junior year, or with approval of the department chairperson.
