Class Notes: Theme: Rage, Hope, and Care with Rhetoric Shit’s fucked, or so it seems. What does it mean to be a feminist in today’s sociopolitical context? What does it mean to feel rage and hope? What does care look like? These are some of the questions that are nagging at several people as we look towards next year. In this course, we’ll read texts from feminist and queer scholars that show us how we can be filled with both rage and hope (and how we can use them to our advantage), we can care for ourselves and each other, and we can envision a different future. We’ll talk about how we can do all these things and maintain our sanity and sense of selves (burnout is real y’all). And we’ll work on projects that show us none of this is futile. Something better is possible, but it’s gonna take a while before we get there – and we need to get there.
Textbooks are not required for this section.
