Description: Students will learn about the role of sports media content in the social construction of ideas about race, gender, queerness, religion, ability, and citizenship as well as the role it plays in equity, diversity, inclusion, and access. As sports content is ubiquitous, its reach into commerce, education, and civic life and racial justice will be examined.
