Description: Survey theoretical and emerging ideas in the field of visual and race rhetoric. Students will examine how images are constitutive of public meanings about race and public memory in the public sphere as well as how images become iconic reflecting and communicating moments embedded in race relations and citizenship.
Credit Hours: 3
