Description: This course will guide your investigation of the city s urban fabric, including the houses, shops, baths, and temples used by its inhabitants. We will look at Pompeii s urban design, public and private buildings and their decoration, and at the wider cultural, geographical, and historical contexts of the art produced by and for its residents.
