Class Notes: Exploring Sequence (book) . Course Description: Students will engage in the essential process of blending narrative development with the creation of sequential images that visually represent the story. The book and it’s many forms, including graphic novels, children’s books, and comics, will be examined as potential final products. The course highlights the integration of analog technique with digital tools.

Class Notes: Exploring Narrative (editorial) This course explores different aspects of narrative storytelling for the artist. Editorial image production will be introduced in this course. Emphasis will be on the personal story as content for the work. It will introduce students to opportunities in editorial media, comics, children’s books, and other personal projects, both in print and digital formats.

Class Notes: Illustration Methods and Digital Technique, In this course, students will explore various illustration techniques while developing their digital skills. They will learn how professional illustrators tackle challenges to produce production-ready visuals. This course is designed to help students create compelling imagery for real-world illustration projects using industry-standard tools. The course will involve a range of assignments to emphasize key concepts of visual communication, enhance digital skills, and explore the potential of digital tools. Students will engage in research, idea generation, and problem-solving, with a focus on creative and contemporary visual solutions.
