PSY 327a01 - Cultural Psychology: Latino/A Psychology

Description: This course will focus on current research on the psychological functioning of Latino/Latinas in the United States. Students will become familiar with how psychologists (and other social scientists) have investigated the behavior of Latino/Latinas (e.g., cultural identities, belief systems, language, mental health, etc.) and the contexts for their behavior (e.g., gender, families, communities, religion, school media, etc.)
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: PSY 110 or 111
Graduation Requirement: IDEAS - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access in U.S. Society. This graduation requirement is for all students, starting with students following the 2023-2024 catalog.
